Kelly & Logan

Call it good timing - or meant to be - or whatever, but we met Kelly & Logan by chance one morning at Cathedral Cove. Ian & I decided to catch sunrise at Cathedral Cove, which meant getting up at some obscene hour of the morning to hike down there for the 6:45am rise. Lucky for us - so did Kelly & Logan. The boys started chatting while the girls were snapping - and we discovered that Kelly & Logan had only just got engaged - literally a few days before, in New Zealand! I mean, if Ian & I had to do it any differently, that's exactly what we would have wished for. They're from California, and Logan's half kiwi - and has a lovely family spot in the Coromandel. We were so happy we decided to sit by them that morning at the beach - it led to us getting to shoot their engagement photos, and also making some sweet new friends. This couple is amazing - one of my favourite shoots. We tromped around for hours, it rained a little, sunned a little, wined a little, it was awesome. We couldn't think of a better way to spend Valentines day. Seriously, I hope you can feel the love in these photos, these two were naturals - barely had to direct at all. I mostly just got to sit back & shoot; their love is so real and honest, it was really refreshing to be around. Thank you guys for letting us be a part of your life changing trip to NZ - Ian & I love meeting & getting to know you two!
